Dr. Uma M. Subramanian is a board-certified Pediatrician and Internist with additional certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.


Dr. Subramanian attended medical school at the State University of New York in Syracuse and completed her combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The Ohio State University Hospitals and Columbus Children’s Hospital (now Nationwide).

Prior to that she obtained a Master’s in Physiology from Georgetown University. Dr. Subramanian’s early career was spent in Washington State and later Virginia where she practiced in the outpatient setting. She later transitioned to hospital medicine for adults and children, which took her to New Hampshire and then back to the DMV where she now enjoys the privilege of being a full time Pediatric Hospitalist at the National Institutes of Health in the Department of Pediatrics.
