15th Annual NIH Gingerbread House Decorating Contest drew 77 entries

The 15th annual NIH Gingerbread House Decorating contest had a record year – with 77 entries and entertainment for all. It was also the first year, votes were accepted via the TakeMeThere wayfinding App.

The first place paper ballot winner was Clinical Center 3SE Day Hospital. The second place paper ballot winner was Clinical Center Pediatrics (1NW, 1NW Day Hospital and 1H Peds). The third place paper ballot winner was Clinical Center 3NE.

The first place Facebook favorite was National Cancer Institute the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics. The second place Facebook favorite was National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke, Stroke Branch. The third place Facebook favorite was Clinical Center 5NW.

Mariela Light, an NIH Human Resources Specialist, said "This is the first year my team participated and I think I speak for all of us in saying- Regardless of the outcome, we had fun working on the display, we visited the Clinical Center more times than normal which in turn, put us in touch with some pretty amazing people that we would not have met, were it not for the contest."
