Clinical trials for Fanconi anemia, CLL or SLL, multiple myeloma and healthy volunteers recruiting at the NIH Clinical Center

NIAID researchers seek healthy volunteers 18 to 70 years old, to participate in an influenza (flu) vaccine study. Scientists are testing an investigational universal vaccine to determine if it is safe and if there are any side effects. There is no risk of infection since the investigational vaccine product does not contain any virus. Compensation is provided. Refer to Study # 19-I-0032.

Do you or someone you know, have hard to treat multiple myeloma that has spread to your soft tissue and/or bones and are thinking about options? NCI researchers are conducting a clinical trial for relapsed refractory multiple myeloma using the immunotherapy drug avelumab with radiation therapy with hopes that they may help your body's immune system destroy the myeloma cells. Refer to Study #19-C-0078.

NHLBI researchers need volunteers at least 4 years old with Fanconi anemia to participate in a study looking to help investigate a treatment to improve blood counts. Compensation for travel is provided. Study-related tests are provided at no cost and results are shared with you and your doctor. Refer to Study # 17-H-0121.

NINDS researchers seek healthy volunteers for an outpatient research study. The purpose of this study is to understand more about how the brain controls motor function. Volunteers may receive brain, skin, and nerve stimulation, and may perform tests of hand movement, behavior, and learning (some tests may be done during an MRI scan of the brain). Volunteers may be scheduled for between 1-20 sessions. Sessions will be of various durations, lasting up to 8 hours each. There is no cost for research related procedures or participation. Compensation is provided. Refer to Study # 07-N-0122.
