Dr. Gilman speaks at a podium
On Sept. 17, NIH Clinical Center CEO Dr. Jim Gilman spoke at the first annual Children's National and NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Symposium in Washington, D.C. The symposium highlighted the Children's National Health System (a pediatric academic medical center) and the NIAID partnership, which began in 2017 and focuses on pediatric studies of significant interest to investigators at both institutions. Under the partnership, young children participating in allergy, immunology and infectious disease research studies will be seen at both Children's and the NIH Clinical Center – which are less than 15 miles apart from each other.
